If the field type of an information item is General, Numeric only, List of values or Date, you can set up the information item so that it repeats the value you last entered in the field on the Weigh screen. That way, you don't need to fill it in each time.
You can allow existing information to be overwritten by the repeat value by ticking the Allow repeat to overwrite existing information option on the Settings > Recording > Advanced screen.
Example:
The breed of most of your cattle is Angus. You can select the Breed field to modify, then tick the Repeat option. On the Weigh screen, select and enter Angus. After that, each new animal you add will default to Angus. If you have a cow that is a different breed, you can still select its breed from the list. After that the field will repeat the newly selected breed.
