Connecting an EID reader via Bluetooth®

To establish a Bluetooth^® wireless connection between the indicator and an EID reader, you need to 'pair' the two devices. Once paired, they will connect automatically when both are in range.

Note: Always turn the indicator on before the EID reader.

To pair the indicator and another Bluetooth enabled device:

1. With both devices off, position the indicator and EID reader no more than five metres apart.
2. Switch on the indicator and, if necessary, check that its Bluetooth setting is enabled.
3. Switch on the EID reader.

   The blue light on the reader will flash while it searches for Bluetooth enabled devices (the indicator). It takes about one minute to complete the pairing process.

   When the pairing is complete, the Bluetooth connected symbol will appear in the top bar of indicator’s Home screen and the EID reader’s blue light remains lit.

4. To test the connection, go to the Weigh screen and use the EID reader to scan an EID tag. The EID tag number will appear in the EID field.

Note: The indicator pairs to all Tru-Test stick readers and panel readers and to some third party devices.
